The Supervising First Aid for Mental Health Training Programme provides learners with advanced knowledge and practical skills to recognise, support, and manage mental health conditions within workplaces and community settings. This course is designed for supervisors, managers, and designated mental health first aiders responsible for supporting others.
Aims
To equip learners with the confidence, knowledge, and practical skills to supervise and support mental health first aid provision in the workplace.
Skills Practised
This practical course supports learners to:
- Recognise a wide range of mental health conditions
- Assess and respond to mental health crises
- Support individuals experiencing severe mental distress
- Use effective communication and de-escalation techniques
- Develop action plans for mental health support
- Guide others in mental health first aid procedures
Note: Skills are developed through case studies, scenario-based learning, and guided discussions.
