Course Overview

The Student First Aid Training Programme provides learners with essential first aid knowledge and practical skills to respond confidently to everyday emergencies. Designed for students and young people, this course promotes safety awareness and prepares learners to provide basic first aid support in a range of situations.

Aims

To equip learners with basic first aid knowledge and practical skills to respond safely and confidently during emergencies.

Skills Practised

This practical course supports learners to:

• Assess emergency situations safely
• Perform basic CPR skills
• Manage unconscious casualties
• Treat minor injuries, bleeding, burns, and choking
• Respond appropriately to common medical emergencies
• Know when and how to seek further medical assistance

Note: Practical skills are developed through demonstrations, guided activities, and realistic scenarios.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of the course, learners will be able to:

• Understand basic first aid principles
• Respond appropriately to emergency situations
