The Awareness of Safeguarding Training Programme provides learners with a basic understanding of safeguarding principles and responsibilities. This course is designed for individuals working in care, education, and community settings who require introductory knowledge to recognise and respond to safeguarding concerns.

Aims

To equip learners with the awareness to recognise safeguarding concerns and understand how to respond appropriately to protect vulnerable individuals.

Skills Practised

This practical course supports learners to:

  • Recognise signs of abuse and neglect
  • Understand basic safeguarding responsibilities
  • Identify safeguarding concerns
  • Know how to report concerns appropriately
  • Follow basic safeguarding procedures
  • Promote safe working practices

Note: Skills are developed through guided discussion, awareness activities, and scenario-based examples.
