Annual First Aid Refresher

Course Overview

The Annual First Aid Refresher Training Programme provides learners with the opportunity to refresh and update their essential first aid knowledge and practical skills. This course is designed for qualified first aiders who want to maintain confidence and keep their skills up to date between full requalification periods.

To refresh learners’ confidence and practical ability to respond effectively to first aid emergencies in the workplace.

Skills Practised

This practical course supports learners to:

• Refresh CPR and AED skills
• Revisit recovery position techniques
• Manage bleeding, burns, and shock
• Respond to unconscious casualties
• Reinforce emergency response procedures
• Update knowledge of current first aid guidance

Note: Practical skills are developed through demonstrations, guided activities, and scenario-based refreshers.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of the course, learners will be able to:

• Confidently respond to common first aid emergencies
• Perform CPR and use an AED effectively
• Manage casualty care until help arrives
