The First Aid for Mental Health Annual Refresher Training Programme is designed to update and reinforce learners’ existing knowledge and skills in supporting individuals with mental health conditions. This course helps ensure confidence and competence are maintained between full qualifications.
Aims
To refresh learners’ awareness and confidence in recognising and responding to mental health concerns in the workplace and community.
Skills Practised
This practical course supports learners to:
- Recognise signs of common mental health conditions
- Refresh understanding of stress, anxiety, and depression
- Respond appropriately to mental health concerns
- Use supportive communication techniques
- Reinforce escalation procedures
- Promote positive mental wellbeing
Note: Skills are developed through guided discussion, case scenarios, and interactive refreshers.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of the course, learners will be able to:
- Reinforce understanding of mental health first aid principles
