Course Overview

The Basic Life Support Training Programme provides learners with the essential practical skills and knowledge required to respond confidently during medical emergencies. This course focuses on delivering effective CPR and managing unconscious casualties until emergency services arrive.

To equip learners with the confidence and practical skills required to perform basic life support safely and effectively in emergency situations.

This practical course supports learners to:

• Assess emergency situations safely
• Perform effective CPR
• Use an AED safely and correctly
• Manage unconscious casualties
• Place casualties in the recovery position
• Respond appropriately during cardiac emergencies

Note: Practical skills are developed through demonstrations, guided activities, and supervised scenarios.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of the course, learners will be able to:

• Recognise cardiac arrest and respond appropriately
• Deliver safe and effective CPR
• Use an AED with confidence
• Manage unconscious casualties safely
• Respond calmly in emergency situations

Assessment Method

Learners will demonstrate practical skills through supervised CPR and AED scenarios and instructor assessment.

Participants will receive a Certificate of Completion upon successful completion of the programme.
